PROBIAL BONE
Bone Health
- Enhances mineral absorption, improving mineral status of Ca, Mg and Fe

Bifidobacterium lactis BS01 (LMG P-21384)
Lactobacillus acidophilus LA02 (DSM 21717)
Food supplement with probiotic strains
Given the widespread occurrence of mineral-deficient diets among women globally, the potential of probiotics to enhance mineral absorption is increasingly recognized as vital for improving women's mineral status. In a randomized controlled trial (RCT) conducted on healthy females, a 6-week daily supplementation with PROBIAL® BONE was shown to enhance mineral status without any dietary changes.
The probiotic supplementation resulted in increased concentrations of calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg), and iron (Fe), while decreasing copper (Cu) mean concentrations in hair samples [1]. Furthermore, the administration of PROBIAL® BONE significantly influenced the distribution of participants in relation to mineral reference values (RVs):
- The distribution of Ca, Mg, and Fe levels was shifted towards and beyond the RV after probiotic treatment.
- Specifically, 31% of the participants in the supplementation group showed improved calcium concentration in their hair, indicating enhanced mineral absorption and status.
