Probiotical was born in 1985 from Laboratorio Microbiologico ALCE, which has been the Italian leader in the preparation and production of lactic acid bacteria for dairy industry for more than 60 years.
Probiotical’s history, deeply rooted in Novara territory, is closely related to Mogna’s family, which has reached its third generation with Giovanni. However, the fourth is already active, with his daughter Vera.
In order to learn about this evolution, we must come back in time. In the 20s, Alfonso Mogna laid the foundations for his family’s company, passing down to his son Mario his passion for microbiology, especially for lactic ferments.
The paternal track was successfully followed: Mario Mogna was able to create a company that became in a few years the reference point of the Italian dairy field.
Furthermore, Mario will be remembered as a pioneer, as he invented the direct liquid inoculum in the boiler.
